Yes yes I know, it has most defiantly been more than a week since I last posted. Very much so since I last posted. So scold me all you want, not that anyone really reads this. I know that it is just a creative outlet for me!!
Anyway school is awesome! I absolutely love it. It is so worth getting up every morning at 5 just so I can be ready to go by 6:20. So worth it. I AM NOT BORED at Maeser. I was bored at my other high school. I love Maeser! There are so many anime geeks there. Its funny because last weekend was Anime Bonsai, which is the Anime Con here in Utah and I had probably ten different people ask me if I was going. I wish I could have gone, but I couldn't. :(
I love playing the viola. Its fun but at the same time very challanging. I don't ever really remember the baritone or the tuba ever being this hard. But I'm glad its hard, because I am in a class of 7th and 8th graders mostly and they are all learning the theory aspect of music. While the teaches them I sit there and work quietly on my own going over fingerings and ever bowings. Orchestra is really the only class I am bored at all in.
I'm also trying out for the Girls Basketball team, so I have practice twice a week. Its a lot of fun already. A lot of the girls I know right now are from the team, and they are so nice. Before practice we all take turns braiding each others hair so it is out of the way. They have just totally welcomed me into this group that they have already had for a year. I feel like one of them. The genuinely want me to play with them. :)
Today I took the PSAT/NMSQT in class. I'm not really going to go into that because that's not important. What I am going to go into is what we did after. After we take this test we do service projects. My class decided to make fleece blankets for Primary Childrens, Shriners Hospital, and homeless shelters, and I was in charge. In just over an hour and a half we made 15 blankets!! I was so proud of my class, and my teacher was so proud of me for putting it all together. I can't wait to take pictures of all the quilts and take them to the hospitals and homeless shelters. :)
So all in all I am totally in love with Maeser. Not going back on this choice. :) However, I do miss my brass instruments:(

Birthday Party
I had the most awesome birthday party yesterday. I guess I don't really have much to compare it to, but it was totally awesome. Mom and I spent pretty much all day getting ready for it. (That is the only good thing about my summer being two weeks longer than the rest of the people around here.) I did the grocery shopping and made my cake. I even got to have balloons this year!!! My cake was awesome! We took two cake mixes and mixed them together and then put two different kinds of frosting on them, so everybody could have what they wanted. It was cool.
We spent almost three hours laser tagging! And the best part, nine people showed up. Every time I have ever had a birthday party it has totally flopped. Nobody has come and it just flat out sucked. This year my very, very best friends, from the other high school came and so did the kids who willingly took me into their group at copper hills came. There was no fighting over schools. Just fun competition in the laser tag arena. It was so much fun! I don't think I can say that enough!
After the laser tagging we went back to my house, ate tons of homemade pizza and watched Star Trek. I honestly think most of us talked more than we actually watched. After just about everyone had left, my two best friends (Devin and Jess) hung around and we just talked. It was great to talk about pretty much nothing. Just the three of us. The three of us have been best friends since the sixth grade. We have been through everything together. Its ridiculous, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Life has been good lately. Nothing stupid has happened lately and I really want school start. I still have one more week of boredom summer and in that week I have a family reunion with family I barely even know. *Enter sarcasm* How awesome is that? *End sarcasm* My brother Brandon gave me an awesome sword. Its a black katana whose name is Grace. Pictures later. Maybe. And my bigger little brother Alex gave me the Tenth Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver. I was literally going off the walls. Even though I knew that, that was what he was getting me for my birthday, I was still totally stoked! Love ya Alex!

Girls Camp
Well here is the very belated update on how girls camp this year went. I will break it down day by day if that is okay with everyone!
Monday morning I got up at the butt crack of dawn to help go load trailers so we could leave for camp early. Being a Youth Camp Leader(YCL) this is required for us to be there early to welcome the girls and to have camp already set for them. Once everyone one got there and was all set up we went to the stake breifing where the missionaries on duty that week give us all the rules of the camp. Same old same old. Once you have been to Heber Valley girls camp four times, there isn't really anything new they can tell you. The YCL's also did our skit then. I wrote it, and made all of the props for it. Not bad. If I do say so myself. Later that night we had Family Home Evening. One of the ladies from our ward came and dressed up as Edna Mode, from the Incredibles and gave us a lesson on all of the Young Women Values. And we painted our nails. Monday night was the snipe hunt. It was awesome. Won't spoil it incase any of my readers have never been snipe hunting.
Tuesday my girls and I got up extra early to cook breakfast. Yahoo....not really. After breakfast and our morning devitional our ward went on our hike. It was a really pretty hike, but just like every hike I have ever been on, it was suppose to be 3 miles it ended up being just over 5. We got lost and we lost girls on it. Awesome, huh? This was also the day that we as a ward had to do our skit infront of the whole stake. Again I wrote it, so I had to teach it. Totally awesome. Not. They girls wouldn't be quiet long enough for me to teach. When I did get them quiet it went great, and the skit ended up having an awesome death to sin scene.
Wednesday was the lake. Or was suppose to be. Didn't happen. It rained, not just rained but poured all day. We didn't do anything that was planned that day except the stake faith walk/talk. Where different stake leaders came to talk to us about being strong and of a good courage. But I got to shower!
Thursday we lucked out and by noon the rain was gone and it was back to being hot. It was totally awesome, because that meant we actually got to go on the challange course. That is really my favorite part of camp when we go to Heber. This one was one I had already been on so I knew all the tricks and was totally stoked to go on the zipline. Even if I did have to climb up a telephone pole, and then walk across a wire to another pole first. I hate heights, but if there is a harness and a cable, it doesn't scare me at all. Once you have been pushed off of a fifty foot repelling wall, that doesn't scare you anymore.
We did awards when we got back. I got the tangent obsested- sentence finisher. I get off on different subjects a lot and I finish peoples sentences. They like it when I do. :) Then it was dinner and testemony meeting. Not going into detail. To personal.
Friday we packed up and went home. YCL's had to ride the bus home this time. It was a nice charter bus and I was lucky enough to have two seats to myself in the back. Where I slept all the way home. People wondered how I did it in those seats. Truth be told, all you need is pillow and you are set.
All in all camp was pretty good. No major injuries and nothing super bad happened. HOORAY!! I am however it is over.
Quote of the Day, well really a scripture.

Almost there!
Ah!!! Camp is in four days!! Getting so close!! I'm starting to get a little freaked. This year I am a youth camp leader and I am in charge of like six girls all week. I have to teach a lesson everyday and I hope they go well. I think my biggest problem right this minute is that there is a whole bunch of stuff just lying around my room that I either need to pack or finish working on so I can pack it. I have to have it all done before Saturday night when I have to put all my stuff in the trailer. It's crazy. I have to get it done!!!
I want to work on my Avatar map, but I have no space in my room to set it up in. It stinks.
I want to go swimming. Anyone want to go? I need to try and get out of the house more than I do and be active. I am going to try and either go biking, running or bladeing tomorrow. I don't know it will happen but I want to try. I'm getting a little pudgey and I want to play basketball this fall at Maeser.

Hooray!!
Monday was awesome!!! First thing I went and did was go to the DMV with Mom. I got my drivers license!! I can officially drive by myself. Just waiting for the hard copy to come in the mail! :) Later that night I went to another Doctor Who night. This time it was at Alex's house and there where a bunch of Newbies there. They were thoroughly confused. It was so much fun. Before I went to Doctor Who night I went with mom to the new carwash by our house. Its a super wash with free vacuums. That why she wanted to go. It was so cool! Our car has never been cleaner!! And we went a go a new power cord for the laptop! YAY!!!
Tuesday I got up extra early to take mom to work so I could have the car to go to seminary and to the library. I have been reading like a maniac lately and have go through two books in three days. I brought home like four and then three DVDs of Bleach. That's twelve episodes. I've already watched eight of them. Bleach is amazing. Thanks Brice!
Today was nothing much. I stayed up til very early this morning (Like 1) reading and working on a hand drawn copy of the World of Avatar map. I got it drawn, inked and erased all in one night. Man my hand hurt. I woke up this morning with a small migraine so I just kind of chilled out today. I worked on some of my Girls Camp (11 days!!) stuff but that was the most productive I got today. Thats okay!!
Tomorrow Mom is on call til noon. If she gets called in before I wake up then I told her just to go, but if she gets called in after I do, I asked her if I could take her to work so I could go to seminary and another Stake camp (11 days!!) thing. I hope that's the case!! Or that she doesn't get called in at all!!! And we're going to grandma's tomorrow!

4-H Show, Doctor Who
Wow. Last night was a pretty good night for my show. Sure I got almost all white ribbons but oh well. This was the second show I did this summer, but the first one that I did all the events. I got a blue on the hand written test and a red on horseman ship. The rest of my events I got whites except on keyhole which I DQed on. For the first time ever they let the seniors go first on barrels. They never let us go first we always have to go last. For one of the first times in my whole 4-H career, I was done with my show by 11:30PM. Normally we don't get done until like 12:00AM. It was totally awesome.
Tonight I got together with a bunch of the neighbor kids my age and we went over to one of our leaders houses and watched the British Sci-Fi Comedy Doctor Who. I hate Sci-Fi but I love Doctor Who. It was great because my best friend in the whole entire world, Alex, was there and we had seen the episode we were watching and we were quoting it and beating each other up. And eating M&M's. The sad thing is we try to hang out all the time but his mom doesn't really like that idea. His mom likes me but she doesn't want me and Alex to hang out because she's afraid that we will end up going out and then it will go sour and ruin our friendship. The thing is though that both of us have talked about it and we know we could never really like steady date. We don't have those kinds of feeling for each other. We're are like siblings. End of story.

Update, Crazy things
Wow. Just wow. It has been a crazy last week since I updated you last. So here it goes.
I got to be in the Mormon Miracle Pageant for three nights in the Christ in America scene. It was absolutely amazing. It was like I was really there. It is totally an amazing experience that I am never going to regret. I got eaten alive by mosquitoes that week. (Who knew mosquitoes is spelled with a q?) Right after I was done staying with my cousins I went to youth conference with my ward. And I have to say that whole weekend I was thoroughly spoiled rotten.
The first day I was there (which was the second day everyone else was) we were going to do a service project. However when we all got up that morning we discovered that my sleeping bag and my jacket had gotten left at the pageant that night. So while all the other kids went to go pull weeds and lay sod at a park one of the adult couples that was there drove me back to Manti to try and find my sleeping bag. After we found it and got back to camp, Sister Gale gave me the option of going to help with the service project, helping start lunch, or she said I could go take a nap in her trailer. Needless to say, I took a nap.
Later that day we went to the lake. Normally the leaders are very pushy about getting me to do things with the other kids, and usually I just do, but this time they just let me sit around in the leaders area and just sit there. It was great. Sister Dayhuff also went and found me a nice shower house and one of the other leaders went with me to go shower. On that trip I also didn't have to cook at all, I barely helped clean or set or take down camp. I was so tired by the end of that week that the leaders just let me kind of kick back and not doing anything. They didn't even wake me up during testimony meeting when I fell asleep.
Once I got home I went to the SMG Flogging Day Party. (It's just a summer party). I got to play with my cute nieces and nephews and I also got to see one of my best friends and her cute daughter. I ended up spending like two hours playing with her and her daughter at the park; in the dark. It was so much fun.
Now for a little not fair thing.
I went in to Maeser to take their math placement test. I took entrance into Pre-Calculus test. I didn't make it. They are putting my in Algebra 2 again. I have taken that class two years in a row. I would like to be done with it.

Manti Pageant/Ephraim
Wow. Just wow. I really don't have much else to say but I can elborate. For those who don't know, I have been staying in Ephraim for the last for days. (I am still here using my cousins computer.:)
So on Thursday when I got her I almost immeditly got whisked out the door and into the car to go to the Manti Temple to help work in the costume building with my cousins. It was fun but it was also extremely long. We have to be there at five and then we don't leave till like almost one in the morning. But anyways on Thursday when we got home we ate this salsa that had jabeneroes in it and when I drank milk to stop the burning my family had me laughing so hard that I shot it out my nose. That was interesting.
Friday sucked. I had one of the worst migraines I have had in the longest time. I threw up and everything. So I didn't even go to the pageant that night. Then when my cousin Alex got home and I was out of my comma I got to hold her Gecko Giselle, and it pooped on me and I freaked out. A bunch of the pageant kids came over that night and we watched movies, and it was impossible for me to sleep because I had slept all day, but fun all the same.
Saturday, all of my cousins except Dakota went up north to get stuff for Alex for her to do Miss Sanpete. I would have gone with but I was still sleeping. So after a freezing cold shower Dakota and his friend Ben taught me to play poker. That night I was in the pageant. I got to be in the Christ in America sequence. It was cool!!! Except I couldn't see, because I had to take my glasses off.
Sunday was church with Alex at the college ward. I had to pretend I was a college student and not only sixteen. The rest of the day me and Alex(that was who I really came to see) colored and I kicked her butt at the card games we played. It was awesome and we watched Tooth Fairy. It was cute.
Today we vegged. There is no performance tonight so we are just chillin'. Alex took me to Walmart because I managed to get here with out hairties, a hairbrush and chapstick. BBQ sandwiches for dinner!! Something yummy yup. And we are getting ringtones.

Lasar Tagging
Today was thoroughly awesome! The last week I have been able to get away with not getting up until like ten. This morning was no exception. Yay for summer and getting to sleep in and stay up late watching anime!
I cleaned all day yesterday (I'll be doing that tomorrow too) so I could earn money to go laser tagging with my brother Alex today. It was totally awesome! We played two games (we were going to do three but we didn't quite have enough time.) and then went and got slurpees. And again I didn't finish mine after I got home. I actually crashed and burned on the love seat. I usually do that went I get home from hanging out with Alex. But all and all it was awesome. We even drove around State Street until we found a 7 Eleven with the slurpee flavor we wanted.
So the Nicktoons channel has been doing a lot of awesome stuff with the Last Airbender series for the movie premier next month, including what they call Avatar Extras. Throughout the shows blue bubbles pop up with random facts about what is going on right then in the show. Some of them are incredibly funny like how many episodes start with Sokka being hungry and others are just info. Like who voices or who designed this character. Its really entertaining. Which is why I stay up until at least 11:30 to watch the four episodes. They show them twice a day for two hours. Once at 6:30 and once at 9:30. I miss the first set cause mom is watching TV.
Tomorrow I am going to a movie with one of my best friends Emily. Mom's boyfriend is paying for us to go, because he knows I feel a little left out when him and mom are home and being all lovey dovey. Yay!! I like him. But I have to do my chores that are on my chore board first. But if I get up at ten, and chill for and hour then I should get them all done before Dan gets here, while mom is at work, to work on the swamp cooler. Yay!! Its mostly hooked up already but he is going to finish it tomorrow! Yay!

Yay!

Three Musketeers
Today was date night. Mom and her boyfriend Dan went to dinner and then came back and got me. We went to go see The Three Musketeers at Hale Center Theater. It was absolutely amazing!!!! In the past I haven't been such a big fan of this play, but it was awesome!!! It had great actors, amazing stage sword fighting, and because I am a geek, the crew did an amazing job on the sets and music and there was hardly any mic feedback. A must see for everyone!! Even kids!! Its all about right and wrong and of course love. It was even great because the brother and sister in the play were actually brother and sister!! Amazing!!!
Dan also spoiled me rotten! He always does though when I get to go with them. He bought me soda, a cookie, candy and then let me keep the change which ended up being like seven bucks. Can you spell S P O I L E D?
He is a good guy and I think he is right for my mom.
Quotes from the Play
"You can fight like a man, now we just need to teach you to drink like one."
One of the Musketeers
"So is the Catholics verses the Protestants fighting over how much Latin they can use in church?"

I'm really doing it
Wow. I'm really going. I'm really going to be going to Maeser Prep next year. Today I went in and took the math placement test and probably made it into Pre-Calculus. After that we went to the uniform store and bought my Maeser Prep blazer because it was on sale. We then spent another hour trying on all the other parts of my uniform so mom could write the sizes down so when she gets a chance she can just pick up one or two things a pay check.
We also tried really hard to find a dress that I could use to make a Sokka (from Avatar the Last Airbender) costume with, but failed. Epicly. Later when I showed mom what I was looking for she said she could make it so we hurried to Joann's to buy the fabric to make it. Now I'm excited. She said it would be easy and I could do it on my own. YAY!! I'll have a costume to wear to the movie premier!!

Memorial Day
Today has over all been pretty good. Oh well actually its been great. I slept in until 9, and I only got up then because my mom came into my room and told me that Dan was on his way over. I got up and got dressed and then Dan came over. He mowed half our back lawn for me and then he cooked bacon wrapped steaks for me, mom, and his granddaughter Sammy. Me and Sammy made rice crispy treats and that was fun.
I also got a new computer today and Halston set it all up for me and all I have to do is move it into my room and get wireless card. Thanks Halston. Not that he reads this.
Then Mom let me go pick up my very best friend Jessica from her house and we came back to my house and worked on my Howl's Moving Castle puzzle and talked girl stuff. Boys ex boyfriends how boys are stupid and that kind of stuff. Then mom drove us to Winco to get chocolate with chocolate and chocolate ice cream. She didn't even care that me and her sat in the back and talked and talked and talked. She even had some input on things. Then we went home and had ice cream and I took her home. We are planning to have and awesome sleepover on Thursday night!!! Last day of school!!!
I also found out today that the people who own my horse are going to sell him, which I am totally okay with. In the time we have had him he has thrown almost everyone who has rode him and has put three people in the hospital including myself. I am terrified of him. I'm okay with selling him. He was not right for me and I need a stable horse that will work for me.

I'm babbling
School. So yeah. Its pretty much over. I have rehearsal for the performance during graduation on Tuesday and then I perform in grad on Wednesday. Other than that its over. Despite what many people think I'm really not that sad about it being over. Sure I should be going to Maeser next year and probably will be, I'm not that sad. Sure I am going to miss my friends but, I know where they are, and will be. I will also finally be like every other teenager in the world and have moved for once.
For those of you who are wondering why I chose to go to this school and why I am moving here it goes.

For those of you who are wondering why I chose to go to this school and why I am moving here it goes.
- This school is a liberal arts school. They strongly focus on getting kids into universities and on English and History. I plan on being either an English or history teacher.
- I need to be closer to my horse.
- This school is a small school environment. Only 15 kids in a class. I learn better in small groups than big ones.
- For those of you who are LDS and understand this, I prayed about it before I made my choice. I have been told that Lehi is where I need to be. I have work that needs to be done there.
- Both me and my mom hate the house we are in, and need less yard to take care of.
- I have recently been having some problems with some teachers at my school.

May 20th, 2010. I really hate it
So today I had a orchestra concert and so I didn't go ride my horse like I normally do on Thursdays. Very shortly after I get this text from the girl who I ride with that said "priorities." I texted her back and told her it wasn't my fault that I had an orchestra concert and that I didn't control the days they were held, and if she was going to continue to chastize me for putting SCHOOL before riding, I would quite riding. She then said "gosh take a JOKE!" I promptly told her it was not funny. She then argued it was to funny. That is not something funny its hypocritical because I know for a fact that she skips riding to go to her own orchestra concerts. Do people agree with me or her? Did she have any right what so ever to do it? Especially when she knew I wasn't going to be there?
I hate when people do that.
Other than that today was fairly okay. Other than the THIRD migraine this week. My mom finally took me to fill my prescription, and so now if it happens again I can do something about it. In History I make 40 paper wishing stars while we were watch Pride and Prejudice. (Not wanting to watch that.) Physics we watched Mythbusters and I made another 20 stars. Gym I play monopoly and Egyptian rat screw. Math I did my assignment and then played speed solitaire with Kayla.
The concert went just fine and I almost have my life back! Only a week and some left of school!!
Other than my final project for computer tech and my final for band to make up my concert I missed that's really all I have left. My final is an eight page paper on the song We Didn't Start the Fire By Billy Joel and the history behind it.
Sleep is calling

May 18th, 2010 Migraines
Ewww.... today totally sucked and so did yesterday. We don't know why I got them but I did. Migraines. I think it was my body telling me to calm down and sleep for once. Between two band concerts this week and CRT testing and the AP test my system just needed a rest for once. Mom came and picked me up from school yesterday after band class (which didn't help the whole migraine thing.) and then I went home and literally crashed out on the couch for like five hours almost straight. Mom had to go back to work, at like 1 but I barely even remember her leaving I was so out of it. When she came home after her shift was over we went to the library for me to return books and movies and for me to get new ones. (Which after a whole day of staying home, I've already watched and read all the way through.) Then she bribed me (with good Mexican food) to go to Savers with her. Which I had done not two days earlier with my brother Alex. (By the way, that was awesome, and so were those Slurpees)
Anyways, I woke up this morning and my head was still pounding from yesterday, so I didn't go to school. I got up long enough to tell mom I wasn't going to school, to tell my ride I wasn't going to school, and drug myself. Then went back to sleep until almost noon. I watched a lot of TV and read a whole 200 page book and I think I had another nap. Mom also called my band director and told him I was sick and wasn't going to be able to play in the concert tonight. That was nice. One less stressor on my shoulders.(All though I still have one on Thursday.) And now he is going to make me make it up. I'm sure its going to be some lame essay or playing in front of him, just to torture me.
For those who don't really know me that well when I get migraines, they hit suddenly with full force. I can't see, they hurt, I'm dizzy, usually can't feel half my body because it has gone numb, and my body just shuts down. The second my head hits a pillow once I get one, I am asleep for at least three hours. And usually once I've slept for a few hours its gone. I've been getting them since I was in the first grade. Not only that but I cluster. That means I get like three in one week. Usually they are consecutive, so let's hope I don't have another one tomorrow.!

A little place to vent and then Memory Monday
Worst day ever. Not even kidding. Honestly it really started last night but only a very few people know why Sunday night was bad, and if you do, you know who you are. And if you don't know don't ask because I won't tell you.
This morning only got worse. Mom came into my room at five fifty and said "Your ride to orchestra is here." My alarm didn't go off. So I had Mom tell my ride to just go, and I would get a ride with my normal ride. So I texted my ride and told her that I needed a ride. Well, she never came and got me. I tried to get a hold of my back up rides and couldn't get a hold of anyone. Mom arranged for one of her friends to come and get me, however he couldn't come and get me until ten.
When I finally got to school and checked in I got told that one more absence might effect my permit status. I'm already on probation for my C in English because my teacher is a jerk and refuses to take my late work from when my computer crashed. She claims that "You should of gone to the school library or the public library." Honestly who has the time to do that and who wants to pay the public library .50 cents for every page that you print? Nor do I have the transportation to make it to the public library.
Anyway, when I got to class I had twenty minutes left of my favorite class: Band. I walked in and my teacher starts harping on me. "Sure now you show up." I know he was just messing with me but still it made my day worse. Then he said, "Get your baritone out, your playing your solo now." That he wasn't kidding. I got it out and played my solo cold with a cold instrument and spit in my second valve. Needless to say, it sucked. Then I found out that I am not in the room with the one girl I really wanted to be in a room with for tour, because room sizes went from five to four.
The rest of the day wasn't as bad, except for having to take two tests in my stupid English.
Okay I'm done ranting. Now for Memory Monday!
This is my earliest memory. I got out of Dad's truck or maybe it was the van, that I don't remember. It was dark and we-- all of my siblings and Dad-- walked into the big building and into a dark room. This is the room where my new baby sister and my mom where. I know I held my baby sister Brianna that day because I've seen pictures, but I don't really remember it. What I do remember is siting in that dark room and eating saltine crackers. Tells you how much my three year old mind retains.

What I'm Reading, and other stuff
First off two awesome quotes for book worms.
Thank you Facebook flairs!
So as of right now I am reading only two books. The Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. And really I am only reading that for class. Oh the joys. All of my friends who had to read it over the summer said it sucked and that they hated it.
Now the book I'm reading for fun is called Terrier: The Legend of Beka Cooper, by Tamora Pierce.
This is a totally awesome book. As of now I'm only about three chapters in, but its still good. Beka is a teenage girl living in what could be considered Medevil times. She has been give a job on the police task force which they call "Dogs," and because she is a trainee she is called a "Puppy." She is pair up with the two best Dogs in the business. This book is written in journal format from Beka's point of view.
So anyway, I am totally excited for band tour in two weeks! Yay for Disneyland and California! It is going to be so much fun! My only beef about it, okay my only two beefs, my teacher just handed out the music for it and expects us to learn it all in two weeks, that and the bus ride. Oh well I will attempt to sleep. :)

All the Silly JSD stuff....
I'm sure by now most of you have heard what is going on in the Jordan School District. For those of you that haven't (though I'm sure there aren't many) I'll give you the jist of it. Because the school district is in so much debt after the district spilt of 2009, the school district plans on laying off 500 employees and 250 of them are teachers. Due to this cut many high schools have gone and cut all extracurricular activities including spring sports, dances and other activities.
This has upset many people, especially the students. Granted, I have never been a huge supporter of High School sports, but I do participate in my schools pep band that plays at our home basketball and football games. Cutting these sport means also cutting pep band, which is something I really enjoy. However, that is really the only thing that I am involved with with school that is out of class.

Cutting these sport means also cutting pep band, which is something I really enjoy. However, that is really the only thing that I am involved with with school that is out of class.
Now, here is what I think....
I think it's dumb. Some might say that I can not see the true extent of it because I don't play a sport but this is not true. With cutting the sports they also have cut my band and potentially the Marching Band which I was going to do next fall. I really do understand how anyone who plays a sport right now feels about their sport being canceled; Trust me I feel the same. Most collages and universities look at what extracurriculars you participated in during high school because they see that you where committed to something and where invloved and you have a better chance of being accepted, so this is unfair to us.
Now for the Advice...
If you get a text about a scheduled walk out at your High school, DO NOT walk out. It will not do any good for our teachers or our cause. I know all of us want our extracurriculars back, but there are better was to get them back. If you DO walk out the school will mark you as a Truant and the police will be notified and you could be arrested. So now there is the question of "what do we do?" There are quite a few things we can do. Write letters and e-mails to the district and the superintend about how you feel and that it is ruining our education because it is! You can also plan a PEACEFUL NON RIOTING walk to the district offices from your school. Yes I understand that this can be a long walk from any of our high schools but it WILL prove our point!
Just remember the most important thing, DO NOT WALK OUT! It is the opposite of supporting our cause and our teachers.
